A Month in Pictures {May}

"Photography to me is catching a moment which is passing, and which is true."
-Jacques-Henri Lartigue

May blew in on the heels of a belated spring that never quite saw its way to fruition. Cool temperatures and rain showers and flower buds finally blossoming. The boys and I soaked up as much of the fleeting warm weather as we could, grateful for the green grass and the leaves dotting the bare branches. In May we celebrated a birthday; waved good-bye to the kids as we snuck away for an adults-only weekend; participated in as many picnics and after supper walks as the weather permitted; dusted off the outdoor toys; frequented park after park; and finished off the school year. Out with the old; in with the new. May will always be one of my favorite months--on the cusp of summer, dangling the golden days just out of reach, anticipation tickling our imaginations. Here is our month of May in an obnoxious amount of photos.

IV. Eagle Center.

V. First dinner at the lodge.
