"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
-Anne of Green Gables
The warm summer temperatures seeped into fall this year, making a Minnesota season that can sometimes be almost unbearable to a summer-loving girl like me seem lovely. I've suddenly fallen in love with autumn and have taken every opportunity to revel in its beauty, capturing it all on camera, of course.
I've always enjoyed the sound of the fallen leaves crunching under my feet, raking leaves into rounded piles to jump into, and throwing handfuls of leaves into the air, pointing my face toward the sky and watching the raining leaves flutter down. I've passed these loves onto my boys. Enjoy this extremely picture-heavy post devoted to our October.

Spencer has taken an interest in photography lately. Mostly he shoots blurry, off-centered objects, but sometimes he nails it. The first two photos are all his creation.
We visited a pumpkin patch on a day where the warm summer temperatures were replaced with more seasonable ones. Sandals were traded for hats and warm fleece jackets covered our t-shirts. Farewell, summer; welcome, fall.
