Since it was too cold to enjoy the fresh snow outside, we brought it inside. After breakfast one morning, we set a bowl out on the deck and watched as the falling snow filled it up. Later we brought it back inside and dumped it into the water table for some indoor snow fun.
In the same spirit as bringing the snow inside, we also brought Spencer's trike in the house. He's been pedaling that thing around nonstop. He even gives little brother a ride on the "back seat." We are definitely ready for spring and warm weather and running bare foot in green grass. Until then, we are making the most of the winter weather blues.
We made a few Valentines projects this week. The first was tye dye hearts made with coffee filters and paint dabbers. The second project was homemade window clings. These were made with Elmer's glue, food coloring and glitter. They really don't "cling" to the window, so we used double sided tape instead. (If you're interested in step-by-step instructions on these projects, go here for the tye dye hearts and here for the window clings.)
Ashton had his 15 month well check this week. He has finally hit the 20 pound mark (10 percentile) and is 31 inches tall (50 percentile). I'm relieved that he got his last round of shots until he's five years old.
Enjoying a little reading before Ash's appointment. |
This week's randomness:
(A conversation at bedtime one night.)
Spencer: Am I getting big, Mommy?
Me: Yes, please stop.
Spencer (with a serious face): But I already started.
