We spent the majority of the last week of 2012 at home in our jammies, enjoying new Christmas gifts, watching movies, organizing, cleaning, and soaking up the remainder of the holiday season. I must admit it is very nice to have the Christmas decorations tucked back neatly in their corner of the basement where they will stay until the 2013 holiday season. My family very desperately needs to return to our normal routine and structured days. Good-bye to the days lounging in jammies and lunches in front of the TV, and hello to preschool and ECFE and projects and escaping the confines of this house.
We celebrated the end of the year at our friends' house, where we indulged in far too much food and a little alcohol. The kids loved our slumber party, which afforded the older ones the chance to stay up later and the adults the safety of ringing in the new year without the hassle of sober drivers. We spent the first morning of the new year in our jammies eating egg bake and cinnamon rolls with good friends.
Here is our week in pictures and videos.
